I have six years.

Work in the west, where things are much different than say cincinnati, OH. Kroger spread its disease over here and expect key retailing, que vision, and ELMS to work on high volume wharehouse stores. is this company run by caged monkeys????

1 year that has really run me ragged. I don't see myself being here long term, especially with my health declining.

I'm nearly at my 8th year with Kroger. I've heard they're opening up a HEB Plus right across the street from the Kroger Marketplace. I do indeed intend to apply.

Have also considered looking into HEB for the simple reason of moving down to the san marcos /san antonio area in the future

I wouldnt bother grumpy. My friend who works for cental market told me theyre building and HEB Plus off 35w and Hertiage Trace near Kroger #542. Rick woolman(sp) is gonna have his bonus cut in half and probably half of his workforce.

only looking into the idea of them for the soul purpose of moving 250 miles south to be with the ones that I care for the most and stop the madness of that long drive once a week.

Have you seen the large HEB plus stores? Too big for me to shop. Bigger than a walmart in some places

He told me they're also building a HEB near Boswell Highschool. I think they're fixing to just do a full scale move in and crush Kroger. They've had their eye on the pie for a long time. They're just nervous of Kroger and think that they'll be pushed out by them, but Kroger is the one who has the overconfidence that they are "ready" to take on HEB.

Going to hit 5 years come July, in the western part of Kroger. Not all bad good people keep me going. Just wish corporate  would let us do our jobs instead of all these "standards  walks".

Same here man. July 31 will be year number five. This is the longest I've had any job.

Ten years this month.

Standards walks are fine, they make perfect sense. It's the constant policy changes (the back-and-forth of many of them prove that corporate has nothing better to do with their time) and micro-managing that piss me off. All these little reports that serve no value while costing us more time to do... every little thing they add to our workload while simultaneously shorting us on allotted hours and being uptight about overtime. Sure, corporate, do what you want to push sales to the customer, but leave the actual job to those of us that actually know the job. How many people are taken straight out of business school and put behind a desk to think up ideas for a job they've never worked?

28 years 3 months. I'm in the Dallas area. Seems I spend more time doing checklists making sure all the other checklists are done...in between which I squeeze in stocking, ordering and, oh yeah, customer service.
