Starbucks position at Kroger
Permalink

Hello, I'm thinking of applying to a kroger starbucks.  I already hold a barista job so I have experience...I was just wondering if anyone here knows whether or not this is an exclusive position in the store or could you be moved to other departments at times also?  Thanks!

If you work for starbuks at Kroger. Make sure you DO NOT test the coffe. Even though starbuks policy is you can test but Kroger will fire you. Just letting you know.

So you can't have drinks during your shift if you work at kroger?

I don't know about other stores, but at my store, the favored way of firing employees is to accuse them of theft and hope they can't prove purchase.

Starbucks is different.  I don't think they have a "real" union, so they can probably fire you at any time for no reason.

As long as you cover your back until you see how things work, you should be fine.

Do you guys know if Kroger would hire for the starbucks position as a summer job?  Or do they typically want a longer-term employee for that?

I'm a barista at Kroger and generally they want longer-term employees since it takes almost a month to train new baristas.
