I am a full time overnight stocker and I am going to college too, I ask my co-manger for regular days off to make my college life/work life to be easier. I work forty hours every week and now my co is trying cut my hours to 32 hrs a week saying it because I need regular days off. Can he cut me down to 32 hrs a week? He says I still full time but I won't have forty.

Fulltime under some contracts can be 28 hours a week.

Check your contract. In many I've seen, you are guaranteed five 8 hour shifts. If you have the seniority, you should get your preferred days off. If they aren't scheduling you accordingly, bump the person that got your day off. They'll learn quick.

Id just go slower and work till you reach 40 hours. They pull that 32 hr crap on me and my nightcrew and we always go over 32 hours. We have a big store with lots of product. I work at a steady pace but not going to kill myself just because this company wants to save money and give out bonus checks. Screw them is what I say, let the higher ups complain. Do what makes you comfy is what I say!
