Store Issues

Every store has their issues with management, or their own corporate office. Cultural councils are okay, but I have no idea who's in my stores cultural council, and my voice sure isn't heard. Were is the corporate representative who really gives a damn? When they come to our store they don't talk to employees, they walk around with their glorified job chips on their shoulder, you opinion, suggestions and comments aren't important. Never have I worked for a company where the management and corporate office don't give a damn to the importance of the people helping to make their pay checks to. I've had an ongoing situation in my department that hasn't been fixed, is out of control, and when I take the responsibility to run my department as my own business I'm out ruled by a corporate ******* who knows nothing about what I deal with on a daily basis. Either you let me run a sufficiant, organized and safe environment in my department or "f" it. Seriously you want employees at a store level to run as a TEAM, but the whole corporation needs to run as a TEAM. Our Corporate office at Central in Indianapolis is full of a bunch of self glorified, nose in the air a-holes, they don't give a damn about some stores and make appearances in others. Some worked where we've worked, and sucking up moved them up the ladder, maybe if you came in and bagged Groceries the 1st 2 weeks of the foodstamp month you'll understand the issues of "No Help" No Training, and absolutly what each person goes through when I customer buys $200 in Grocery with No Money on their EBT card, which slows down the front line and that rediculous 1+1 overcharged TV screen above the front end. I've worked for Kroger going on 4yrs now, making about $27,000 a yr. Owe and getting about $10 2/employee of the month, really $5 for hard work, dedication.....please when our VP and Pres is making over $60 a minute? Get Real! I interviewed for another job after a post about running an efficient business, my view from the inside out, and giving an industry situation and running it effective, got the Job making more than $120,000 a yr. And the company is buying me a home and vehicle. That's what I call a company helping other succeed! This company doesn't reward you, the great job wow written on my report for 3 months with 95 to 100% mark-down efficiency, got me nothing but a word of complement, damn we reward our corporate office and managers with wonderful things but the real people making the grade and difference aren't getting ****. I'm not saying I'm unsatisfied, but it is job security in the economy in which we live, but I'm thankful another company has given me the opp to reward and build a brighter future for them and for myself. This is why companies begin to fail, and slowly close, I'm glad that I'm on a hard mark in my career, helping people below me with proper training, listening and working out issues that need worked out. I'm listening to the small voices to make a bigger impact for a newer company that cares about the people who are their success, maybe Krogers can take a look at that.....!

AWESOME! I applaud you. You chose to better your situation rather then stick around bitching about it. I hope more people read your post~
