Ok, what's up with this? Our store is in its fourth week of the new e-schedule thing, and it's hard to decide how I feel about it. On one hand I'm happy, because I just spent three months straight working 11-8 on Saturdays, and I have been off two Saturdays in a row. On the other hand, it's crazy. It breaks things down so you're all over the place. Example: I am working 10-5 tomorrow. 10-2 I am a cashier (which is a relief after two night of being the closing bookkeeper). 2-3 I supervise. Then 3-5 I am cashier again. Another supervisor comes in at 2, so I might as well just stay on the register.
Also, has anyone else had the Western Union change? It's completely different, and instead of two separate reports for sent and received transactions, it printed out one page tonight. I wasn't sure how to file it.
Honestly, I'm not anti-change, but this may be going a little too far. They think they're improving when what they're really doing is making things confusing. My mom is head file clerk, the stupid computer tries to schedule her 16 hours. She's full time. Not only that, they keep scheduling people to hang tags when there's no tags to hang. And if not for the daily task report sheet, we'd never know what we're supposed to do. The schedule doesn't tell you. At least the old system let you know if you were a cashier, supervisor, or whatever, when it was printed out. Anybody else having mixed feelings about this?
