just apply at heb or target or something jesus.... you may want to consider a job where you dnt work with customers if you cant tell them no. i cant stand worknig with customers you have to be their bitch. you may be able to apply at another kroger. obviously they dont want to see you back lol. just apply and see what happens.

I worked at Kroger over 2 and a half years. One year as a bagger and the rest as a cashier. I was not terminated/discharged but I was asked to resign. I was told that by resigning I'd leave on good terms and also would not have a termination/discharge on my record. So does this mean I am rehireable or not necessarily?
These are the circumstances:
The rule I broke was, more or less, using my Kroger card when a customer didn't have theirs. The reasoning behind this. I assume, is because employees get 10% discount on some things. At the time I worked there, we had a customer forgot card. We would type in 401 0000 0000. They changed the policy and we were no longer allowed to do that. I think it is because too many customers complain when they can't get their gas points. But we (not just myself, but other cashiers and supervisors) would still do it sometimes.
When they became strict on the policy, I started using my grandparents' card. Because if you tell a customer that you cannot give them the sales prices, they get very upset and/or angry. Because of the fact that it wasn't my card that I was using nor a forgot card that I was using, it was my grandparents', I thought it was allowed or would be ok. But the reason it was against the rules for me was because for Christmas my grandparents had bought me a cell phone (from Kroger). When I would type in their phone number (when a customer had forgotten their card and was insistent they get the sales price), after a while I started getting free minutes. I didn't realize that was why I was getting the minutes, I thought I was getting the minutes because of my personal shopping. Turns out the reason this was happening was because both of our cards had the same phone number linked to it.
When this came up in the system, they basically said that I broke the card use policy and that I stole minutes from the company.
If you have any insight on this situation and would know if I am rehireable or not, please tell me. Also, don't know if this would matter but it has been about a yr and a half since I have worked there.
Kroger's Plus card policy is ridiculous. I would just apply at another store, explain the situation, and in the meantime if a customer won't take no for an answer, call a supervisor. I enjoy seeing how mad they get when the supervisor tells them no.
Unless it was theft of money or serious violance charger ( towards a coworker or customer) you probably can be rehired in time. Store director once told me thatthey can rehire someone that is marked as non-rehirable if they choose to. But they will have to assume the liability for what that person does. Rehire a theif and they steal again and the store director can be terminated for rehiring that person.
Seem many people rehired for more that what this poster had done over the decades.
i wouldn't bother though, if it were me i would go ahead like the other poster said and just move on to target or whatever..i wouldn't want to be with a company where i was treated that way
