Yep. We let a cashier go for it at one of the stores I worked at, and LP had data going back well over 2 years, showing everytime she scanned her card. Plus, they had data on her iWireless phone tied to her card and her gas points redemption. She was royally screwed.

Yup a girl at my store got fired for that, as well. She fought it,though, and got her job back, but only b/c they went about it the wrong way. Not b/c what she was doing was an okay sport.Because I think that she would not be there today if they would have handled it a little differently.

Yes, the company will often send offers to customers based on their shopping habits. For example, I often buy Tombstone pizza. Every once in a while I'll get a mailer from Kroger that will contain a coupon for Tombstone pizza. It will also include coupons for other things I buy too. Since you're using your own card, the customers' purchases are showing up on it and you're getting the credit for them. Another reason for not using your card for customers is they're not getting the fuel points for their purchases; you are.
My store they will for they see it as stealing from the company.
