So what is your store spending money on at the end of the year?

Here we are at the end of the year, and at my store they have spent a good chunk of money on trash cans bolted to the cart stalls.  Seems to me that they are trying to get a tax write off or something?  In 8 years I've never heard of any store having trash cans on the cart stall, nor have I heard of any demand for this.  Just seems like more work for the few baggers they schedule anymore.

Mostly maintenance work. Wiring, repairs to columns, and a "remodeled" break room. mostly just painted it and got a new table.

I should say one thing tho, trash cans are good for the trash that people leave in carts. It may seem like a waste of money but it makes the bagger's job way easier. Baggers are usually given nothing and are still expected to do their job.

Hopefully they're getting the powerjack fixed so that there is finally a decent piece of equipment to use. You can only use the straddle stacker so much, and you certainly can't unload a truck with it.

There's two 32" Samsung tv's sitting behind customer service.  I don't know what the story is with those.

Queuevision monitors most likely, unless you have them already. If so, they're probably for a slideshow of the managers and dept heads.

We have some Quevision monitors, but they are hard to see since we have balloons and banners all over the front end.

We also have a slideshow tv.

I wonder if it's for a Christmas drawing, or if it's too early.

Idk if this is end of the year budget stuff or not but we have these stupid signs now in front of each department. They have pictures of employees from each department and the manager and stuff on it. :/
