Well I have worked for kroger for 3 years. When I started we had plenty of people in my department. since then is has drastically declined...as of the new year our dept is getting cut an additional 40 hrs. I honestly don't know how they expect us to get all of our work done with a third of the people we had a few years ago...it's ridiculous! They tell us we just have to work more efficently...how? we already are. I wish kroger would realize all of this and give the stores hours to get all of the work done and do their key-retail practices.
That is every year of retail. Worked a few places in my life and every year it is the same. I don't mind the hours getting cut but at least put some more in our pockets.
Work more efficiently? Kroger is worse than Wal-mart. Useless paperwork which is Management work if anything. Work your ass off for nothing. Spend more time on the frontend doing "Customer First" work instead of doing your work. Work in sub departments where the lead does nothing that matters and ignores markdowns/throwouts even though they are continuosly on his ass about it. I wish Dave Dillon would go Undercover Boss and try this **** for one month...not a week ....the torture of a week would not be enough. He has stated that going on tv would be unethical... a lie. He knows what a douchebag he would look like....and the only lie would be the ones he and the Kroger Co. are trying to hide. Customer First......Not Really.
Did he really say it would be "unethical"? More like the whole country would see what a douche he is and just how silly policies such as Key Retailing are.
Yes lord kroger is worst then walmart I agree. They paid u 7.25 and hr to bust your ass. And they also have mostley family and friends that know each other for years that all work there and the ones that know each other very well they get top dollars like 10.60 and hr smh it's some sneaky undercover stuff going on there at.
