We're having a promotion in the Southwest called 'Wing in the New Year'. Well, I try and come up with some ideas how to mercendise and push this product. Well, I got to thinking if people have plain wings they're going to want to season or sauce them.. Well, we had a walk through from our District Manager/Assistant and they saw the display. Our comanager had told them the meat department is trying to push them harder. They end up having us pull the display because "its not apart of the program". This is what I don't understand about their business goals. They want to make money, but MERCENDISING IS NOT APART OF THE PROGRAM???
FYI program or not i'm still setting up my display AGAIN.

They're just jealous because they didn't think of the idea. People in the office don't want employees to take any initiative. Every time they do that employee tracking survey and ask, "Do my ideas and suggestions count" I always put a big fat NO. I bet you though within a year's time they come out with another wings promotion and someone will come up with the brilliant idea of tying them in with dipping sauces.
