demotion??? :((( district 3

Hey I have been a market manager for about a year and half.. And just out of no where they the MR came by the store and walked back to my dept and asked me to come upstairs. and basically he told me that i was being demoted effective immediately.. and they have ca's for their case.. when the only ca's i have gotten were all thrown out by the union about 6 months ago.. and the only one since then was a write up on failing key retailing when i was on vacation!! and the union said they cant do that unless kroger is gonna pay you 24/7 and that was the only one.. can someone give me some advice because i do believe i deserve my position and many ppl have told me this for me to believe it. they didnt even try transferring me to another store first or anything.. i think this is ridiculous and i didnt even sign anything to agree with the demotion nor did they try to give me any paperwork to demote me.. helllppp!!

I can tell you i've dealt with something like this before. A Meat Merchandiser didn't like me because I wasn't quote on quote "what they expected". They moved me to another store and expected me to come in cut the service case, break down the truck, and have the counter all filled by 10 am when you've come in at 7 am. I told them that I wanted to move back to my old store. Well, they told me there was already an assistant there and that I would be demoted. Well, I talked to the "assistant" and he didn't want it. I called my union representative and told him about how they were going to try and demote me and he had told them if they do that then we're going to have a problem. Well they did it anyways and I filled a grievance against the Merchandiser. It took them nearly 6 months to settle when my file was "lost". I didn't have anything in my file negative anyhow. I ended up winning and getting backpay.

No I didn't sign ****! They didn't even ask me to... They just said your demoted. Effective immediately call the other store for your schedule for the rest of the week... When schedules are to be posted by noon the Friday before and unless the employee allows you to change it then its a no go and then I was always told it was a "process" to demote someone a looooonnngggg process... And they haven't even started a process with me at all..... Its so ridiculous and honestly I neversaw this coming....
