I don't know for sure, but I know the management there. As long as you're doing your job you'll have no problems.

The management there is a bit troublesome and "bullyish" to 70% of their employees give and take alot of sexist and color issues. And, yes some may say this may be a too much but the ppl @that store would easily agree unless they are a white male. And yes understandable that one co is a female and the other is a black male but,both of their personality traits sides with the store mngr.. And even associate mngr is a black male but he as well endures their childish bully games and abuse. Yes that store was so so with Mrs. Hall but, employees now walk around scared ofmngmnt. Denoting them even lower even the CSM walks around like he's someone. And, yes I am one of the unlucky 1s who has to go intowork there. But, this is thestore mngrs. Last chance store and as far as quite a few other store mngrs.Opinion on him this will most likely be his last stop lol.. That goes for co's as well they have went from top to bottom of stores.. The store mngr. Even has his son @ work @ times and I have witnessed where he had his son with him in the Deli and Meat Dept while screaming at a dept head and a clerk. How unprofessional is that??? LOL.. But I'm stuck here also :(

I've seen Store Managers who were on their 'last stop'; in fact, I'm dealing with one now. Some of them are simply not cut out for it. It's a level of organization, prioritising things and delegating assignments in such a way as to keep your store in the black------plain and simple. The lowest salaried manager receives notes; tasks they are assigned to administer and make happen. Well, that's true for Store Managers too, just more on a level of ph calls and e mails.

Another very important thing: They MUST walk their store, particularly the front and back ends (ware houses). I'm dealing with a guy who is NEVER in the back rooms, and of course, they're a freaking mess.

BTW: Any salaried manager who has his son under his charge is guilty of interest conflict. Make no mistake of that.

 I knew the Meat Market Manager there and the Assistant Manager and from what she told me hes not doing his job. He consistently misses orders, supplies, etc. I've been in there when there was no meat in the counter at 12 pm so of course the store manager is going to be mad. The issues involved is more of a training issue with the assistant that I could probably fix if given the chance. The only problem is with ELMS it has cut down hours and store management likes to fudge those hours and cut a department down to make numbers look good. Unfortunately this puts a burden on the employees if he forecasts the store low sales numbers, but in fact have high sales numbers. Kroger has ruled this store to be non-profitable regardless that it is the only store in the area. The closest store around is either the other Kroger on North Beach or a Walmart on Airport Freeway and a save-a-lot down the street. If they really put some time and money into this store they could really own the area. Hell, I would buy out those businesses and demolish the whole building and rebuild it.

It is my understanding that when the store manager is off work he will come in and his son will follow. I don't believe he actually works there, but likes being with his dad.
