Kroger hiring smiling faces, 13.20 an hour....

Today they put a sign on every register that basically says "Now hiring smiling faces, up to $13.20 depending on experience." 

After we were all done guffawing, I realized that this really offends and embarasses me. It really makes me angry. To stick that on a register where someone is standing who most likely doesn't even make $8/hr really shows the kind of company we work for. Not to mention the constant inquiry from customers where I feel put on the spot to tell them, no, we don't make anywhere near that here. They don't even pay their supervisors that!!! If they are paying night crew that and not supervisors who are running the front end, something is really wrong. If kroger is having a high turnover and they are desperate for employees, how about giving people enough hours to LIVE ON. I can't afford groceries where I work and you are advertising $13.20/hr on my register???!!! SOMETHING IS WRONG!!! Orangatangs would do a better job running a company. 

Kroger should move to india, it would better suit their business model.

why would they move to another country, when they can replace all the american workers here WITH workers from other countries?

They would love to do to us what is done to people in china and india. The only thing restraining them is the law. Kroger is right on track with the NWO.

Rip the sign down. Its false information for terms of employement. In order to get something like that you'd have to have like 10 years experience and be full time.

That's dispicable!

In ATL division you'd need $8.37 an hour plus the overnight pay plus OT to get to $13.20/hr.  That's not gonna happen.

I would tell the customers "Suuuuure!  You'll definately get the $13.20 per hour that they are advertising!"

And then watch them yell at managment over the false sign.  biggrin
