Krogers. What a joke

I was hired on and then let go because I didn't "find things to do". I laughed so hard. This is the only job I've ever worked at where I was deamed "not a hard worker". **** Kroger Marketplace. I love how they keep mentally handycapped people around to make fun of, trashy rednecks and people with horrible customer service skills, but fire me.

I just needed to say that. yawn

I've seen one of our best cashiers get fired from 2 no call no shows but our worst bagger who doesnt do anything still isn't fired. It literally amazes me.

sorry I should have said one of our best cashiers that has only had two no call no shows vs. The bagger who calls off at least once a week and has had at least 5 no call no shows in the past month.

If they're no-call, no-shows then they're not good employees. That's what a lot of people like to call unreliable. I'd fire employees like that also.

Yeah, but still 5 no calls is worse than 2. If the person with 2 got fired, the person with 5 should have as well by that logic :S

Absolutely! Goes without saying, in my book. But unfortunately, not everyone goes by my book. LOL But something else is at play here. Maybe the other one got fired for worse reasons than the no call/no show, and maybe the one who didn't get fired excels elsewhere. Or knows the right people. Or is sleeping with a manager. I've seen it all, so who knows!

who stays and who goes, is up to managements feelings toward the person.

despite what they will claim, they do have a lot of power to fire, or keep who they want.
