First of all, look for open jobs on your intranet (should be a section for HR/Employment/etc.) for your store of choice. If you find something you are qualified for, find the application, print it out, and fill it out. Make a couple of copies. The job posting should have a mail routing address so you can send the application to the appropriate hiring manager/HR person via store-to-store mail. You could also just take it over to the store of your transfer desires and hand it personally to whoever you were going to send it to. You'd also want to make sure you've informed your store management/department management of your intent, because they will probably get a call from the new store to ask about your work history and whatnot. If you have an HR person in your store, you can also just ask them to help you out with the whole process. After the posting "closes", you should get called for an interview, and Good luck! It's really like applying for a brand new job, just not as hard to get a callback!
what i did was just sat down to talk to my store manager and let him know that i wanted to transfer. He offered to do awhatever he could to make me stay but he was pretty understanding of why i wanted to leave. drama. But then i talked to the store manager of the store i planed to transfer to, he said he could use me and he himself gave me all the paperwork i needed to transfer. i filled it out right then and there and then he faxed it to the union. After that i just waited. A fter 3 months or so i got approved but it only took so long beccause i tried to transfer during the holidays and some miscomunnication.
