I know constructive advice reports and significant incident reminder (write ups) stay on your record but how long do they actually count. One more constructive advice report And my friend gets fired. Some people say that they only last a few months.

generally, nine months to a year.

thou management will STILL keep the write up in your folder, and pull it out as a case example, even thou it is no longer suppossed to be valid

I believe FredMeyer's time frame was 60 days. Lets say someone is getting in trouble for the same thing all the time. You get a verbal warning which is officially recorded, then the "corrective action" write-up, then you move into being suspended, and then you're terminated. All had to be for the same issue, and within that time frame. I might be wrong, could have been 6 months I can't remember. But you could be in trouble for one thing, but another disciplinary incident for something completely different doesnt get rolled up into the other.

And yeah, they are supposed to be removed after some period of time. Im sure they're still available for review somewhere though, and would be pulled out at promotion, transfer, or other inopprotune times!

Yeah our policy is generally the same. 90 day history. Verbal > Write-up > 1 day suspension > 3 day suspension > termination
