it's always best practice to give 2 weeks notice. it looks better on you when you go to apply for your next job.

Give your two week notice.  Even if it is something as crappy as a sicky note, you really should give two weeks notice, written, to management. Have a tactful explanation prepared if they ask why. Probably someone will ask why.

bhaha no one calls kroger for a references..except anouther Kroger..smash eggs, tell the co-manager that made u do carts in the rain to go fugg themselves and piss all over the propane cage outside..Go out in style!

 And then get arrested for vandalism! HOW EPIC!! That would look GREAT for the next job!

Don't be a douchebag. When I was hiring, I called all former places of employment, expect everyone else to also. There's a lot of competition out there even for ****-ass jobs, give 2 weeks notice and leave on a good note. You never know if you're going to need that bridge again so don't burn it.

Two weeks is ideal, but... Under some circumstances quitting at the end of your shift might not be a bad idea. It really depends on the situation. If they have you at the point of emotional exhaustion, I wouldn't wait the two weeks.
