They want us to start tracking the sales of those 12 count boxed donuts in the bakery. We're suppose to write down how many we make, how many we sell at full price, how many we sell at markdown price, and how many we throw away. Why are they making us go to all that trouble? Can't they use the scan data to figure all that out? When you sell a box, it's recorded. When you mark down a box, it's recorded. When you scan out a box, it's recorded. It's just more useless busy work.
We've never had to do that hear. We make 6 every day no matter what. Usually, 3-4 of those get marked down. Then, once their marked down, they magically disappear.
The Bakery from what I hear will be getting its own waves of key retailing soon. I've heard you're going to have to count the stuff like meat market does with fresh meat.

Like what? The dreaded scan everything to see how much you're supposed to make thing or what? That's going to be a DISASTER when there's only 1 person there at night. :(

I have to do that, but then I go ahead and make whatever I want. It's always wrong anyway. For one thing, it doesn't take into account that you might not bake every day. The stupid thing is whether we bake or not, we still have to scan everything and run a report. If we followed the report to the letter, we would constantly be out of some things and overflowing in others.
