I started at Kroger 3 1/2 years ago as A deli Head clerk did that for 1 1/2 years then spent 2 years as a meat asst. manager. After getting demoted for some bullshat! write-ups I'm now back in the deli as a clerk
making $11.28/ hr They are only using the hrs. I worked in the deli for My pay grade and the 4200 hrs from the meat dept. are in limbo. Does this seem fare to anyone?
It depends on your union contract for your store. You need to grieve this by asking your shop steward how to file a grievance. I recommend getting the district union rep involved.
All states are diffferent. All contracts vary state to state and district to district. I am a grocery clerk with 5 1/2 years making $11 an hour. I get a big raise in half a year and I will be at the top of the payscale.
So, your payrate doesn't sound too off. I thought normally, if you get promoted to a manager, you keep that payrate even if you get demoted. I could be very wrong. The only way to get it made right it thru the union to get Human Resources involved.
I have heard of a store manager screwing with a persons' pay classification to get even with something that happenned. The manager was fired and employees' pay classification was fixed.
You don't know what crappy pay is ubtil you work in druggm. I have been working 6 years abd only make 8.65/hr.
Wow, you're getting shafted. As in, more shafted than you should be. I was part time for 5 1/2 years and hit 9.10 when I had started at 7.05. I would suggest making sure you are classified right.
