Payday is on Thursday at my store. I'm always off on Thursdays. I don't go near the store unless I'm really desperate. I wait and get mine on Friday. Never fails though there are a good 50 people who come strolling in the store to get their check. WTF is wrong with these people? It's your day off and you come in? I like to avoid even thinking about that **** hole on my day off. Am I the only one or is there anyone else who does this? Are people THAT desperate for money? I mean I know we get paid ****, but come on, can't you wait til tomorrow?
Direct deposit. I don't understand why anybody over the age of 18 doesn't do this.
OTOH, I go grocery shopping occasionally on my day off. When I get off work, the last thing I want to do is grocery shop, and worst of all, put that shyt away when I get home.
I would also add (since you implied but didn't specifically state that the other people were kroger employees) that many other companies pay/mail checks on friday, so many of the checks cashed on friday could be people who don't work at kroger and are actually coming in on their payday.
Direct deposit is the way to go. Not only do I avoid my store on my day off to the best of my ability, I stay away from the 4 other Krogers here in town as well
