Secretly screw an hourly associate what would the consequences be? I saw a similar post and was like holy crap that's happening in my store too.. Would it be as simple as someone being transfered or what?

Mind. Your. Own. Business.

If it is not affecting you, then pay it no mind. If they get caught, and reprimanded, then that's on them. Don't be the person getting caught in the middle. I have no idea why people want to get in the middle of stuff like this? I go to work to get a paycheck, what everyone else does I don't give a flying fluck about as long as it doesn't affect me getting the money I'm going in there every day for. The stuff I used to hear in the break room made me roll my eyes. I graduated high school almost 20 years ago, but some of the men and women never left that mentality behind.

Clock in, do your job, clock out and go home. It really is that simple.

They just transfer them, but it solves nothing... I've seen it happen twice.. some people think they can sleep ( Screw)  there way up too the top.  But I would not worry about it.. Rumors spread so quick in a kroger they will be gone in a month or so.

While I 100% see where your stance on this issue comes from, and I share some of your motivations, I simply come down on the side of "if you are sure what's rumored is actually happening, do what you can anonymously but nothing more" as I'm pretty sure there are ethics violations type hotlines you can phone into anonymously. That's as far as I could see taking it.

Believe it or not, at the company I just left (not Kroger), we fired an asst. manager for just that. And I remember several times when I was with Kroger where there were moves made to separate people that couldn't keep it in their pants, along with rumored cover ups of assault/harassment. Take that for what you will.

I didn't incriminate you, so get your panties out of your crack. My statement is to everyone in general who keeps asking about this kind of situation.

Sure, you can phone it in anonymously. There is a line for that. By all means, take advantage of that. IF YOU ARE SURE. Not just hearing rumors. But don't go barreling upstairs to the managers office pointing fingers if you just heard rumors. We all spend a lot of time at work, flings happen, relationships happen, friendships and fall outs happen. Why would you want to put yourself in the middle of what is most likely a temporary situation if it doesn't affect you? Don't put that target on your back and draw negative attention to yourself if there is no reason to. Most of us working there are adults, and need to not be naive that things like that go on. I'm sure it's happening all over my store, but guess what? I have no idea. Why? Because I don't care, it's not affecting me from doing my job or from advancement.

Assault and harassment are two totally different things than what the OP was about. Those two are illegal and punishable by law, the OP is not, it's just an offense within the company.

If someone else knows, it's obviously not a secret.  A secret is something you keep to yourself.  When you tell someone, it's gossip.

Its a sure thing, we've talked about it. Was just curious an old associate manager was doing the same thing. The store manager didnt have a problem with the guy but ive heard the same guy went off on accusing another girl at another store for the same thing. was just curious if it was just frowned upon or strictly enforced.

I was once demoted from my salaried position on a non retail job. It was based on one of my staff members (they were all female, and I knew going in it was going to be trouble) having accused me of sexually harassing her; the truth was, she had demanded I give her a raise and I refused.

My boss----ALSO female----absolutely refused to even look into the accusation, and wanted to bust me down to an hourly supervisor. Which I of course refused, and immediately sought an attorney. .........  Where I quickly learned how precious few rights white men in this country have left.

My point? This is such a potentially inflamatory issue, you'd have to just about be crazy to risk it.

in theory, its a terminatable offense for the hirer up , but in kroger, it all depends on if they want to get rid of you or not.

upper management only care about numbers, so if it doesn't affect any numbers, they likely won't care

I said that people of differing levels that were screwing around were moved. That was what happened at Kroger. In Central Division, there have been several coverups of relationships as well as assault/harrasment. They don't call it the CMA (aka CoverMyA$$) for nothing.
