Schedule Problem ?

I am full time and noticed that management has scheduled me to work six days next week meaning I work 48 hours with only one day off.  I did not volunteer to work six days so assuming the schedule stays the way it is should I get time and a half for working that sixth day ?  I am a little ticked off because I am almost certain someone will take off a day just before the deadline to make changes to the schedule.  If it happens after 12pm saturday, can I file a grievance ?  It seems like either someone screwed up or Kroger is playing a real sick joke on me.

tell them NO. warn your time & attendance person.  this happened to me once; it was done by error.

I don't know if you can file a grievance if you are scheduled for 48 hours and then changed to 40 hours.  Maybe someone else can help me on this one.  Management has been known to make several mistakes with scheduling but even if the deadline has past, they can still take a day off to avoid overtime.

 Yes; ignore the other anons.

Most contracts state the schedule can't be changed after 12:00 pm. Saturday (unless you agree to it)

It is worth a call to your union rep to get this sorted out if you want to go that way. Back-pay can be done if it doesn't happen immediately, but sooner the better.

why would you let it get to after noon Saturday other than to screw with them?  it's silly.

under some really old contracts you could do 48 hrs over six days.
