Transferring departments?

I'm pretty sure you can't transfer departments that soon.  I would take this to the union and see what they have to say.  Did your supervisor actually say that was why your hours were being cut?  You most certainly are being mistreated, I know the feeling, but my supervisor has been at his game a long time and he knows how to stick it to you and never let you know he's making you suffer, except that you suffer.

My hours were recently cut. I've been out in the fuel department for about 10 months, but at this point they're talking about cutting my hours even further to "punish" me for requesting days off. The days they are referring to were for my vacation, which I had approved three months ahead of time. I feel like my manager is looking for anything to find wrong, even though I have been nothing but a great employee. My question would be how do I go about transferring departments? Would they even do it since I have not been at Kroger for a year? And do other departments have hours that are just as lousy?

I manage the fuel center where I'm at and the secretary tells
the new person coming to the fuel center you have to work at the fuel center 1 year before you can transfer to the store.
