I was just curious due to my recent issues what exactly other functions of dept. head of drug gm could be?  I do the schedules.  I make and review orders. Do the conditioning whether it is morning or night.  Depending when I work I do the replenishment, run backstock etc.  I do the extra tasks assigned to me.  I do the ddp/wdp, pull the sales plans, go to board meetings etc.  Any meeting out of town I go to....I work on promo aisle, run truck etc. Fuel breaks....

I mean, they claimed I wasn't doing my job and there's much more involved.  I am just wondering what else there is that maybe I am missing. I wish I could just tell management hey, can you tell me the extra things I should do but given the fact they are going to be pissed I am getting my position back, not sure that will be a good idea.

Those are the tasks except they need to be done 100% and well.

Were you making the budget on hours for your department?  That could be the issue.   I know my department manager is concerned about our work not getting done on budget.  He is 2 years from retiring and doesn't want to get demoted.

The manager can't say,"you suck" and demote you.  They should give you a specific reason with a detailed explanation if you ask for one.

I think corporate is bumping many department heads down due to not meeting budgets on hours or they are just worn out with the circus atmosphere of being  a department head.

And, when you were released from your position, you should have asked what you were doing wrong.  When you grieved it, you should have asked exactly what you were doing wrong.

Now, since you didn't ask those two times, you will need to ask what you need to improve on.  Ask the managers what they expect of you moving forward.

I thought this was your post.

At our store, the managers are not permitted to fraternize with employees outside of work unless it is a company function.

Fight this with everything you have.  Use all the dirt on the manager and bring the behavior under investigation by HR.  I have heard of a manager being fired for pulling stunts like this.  If he is playing favorites and giving positions to friends over people already running the departments, he could be in serious trouble with HR.

One suggestion:  Do not post too much revealing info here until this is solved for you.

Job classification issue taken care of. i was told today that dept head of gm takes care of 5S and key retailing and delegates the stocking and replenishment to the other employees.
