Ok, I can understand wanting the store fully crewed at all times if possible, but an incident happened to me a week ago. Basically what happened was, I got a mild sore throat and runny nose that progressively got worse and worse throughout the day. I work nights and called in a good 12 hours before my shift was to start. I was basically told to come in or show up with a doctors note. Now, heres the thing, i cant afford a visit to the doctor or emergency room, have no insurance and live paycheck to paycheck on a weekly basis. So, i bucked up and went in. At the end of the night i was so sick i felt i was on the verge of passing out so i asked my parents (more like begged them) to take me to a doctor so i can get the damn note and have a couple days off to recover. Come to find out i had a very serious issue of Strep throat. Now, a week later, there is a good 28 employees including 2 asst managers that are out with it just because of management being A-holes. I think it's funny, but then again i cant believe management would do this when their employees interact with eachother and thousands of customers on a daily basis. I actually just found out today our local health department has issued a public advisory about the amount of Strep cases they are seeing, most of which are Kroger employees or customers. Way to go guys, you could have (or maybe just did) kill a couple of people.
NO... not them YOU. It was YOUR responsibility not theirs. You're sick, stay home. You found a way to get to a doctor so why wait and blame management and become a patient zero of an outbreak? STUPID. You're just rationalizing away what happened and trying not to take responsibility.

Ignore this Anon OP. Your management were jerks, plain and simple. My management only asks for a doctor's note if you're sick for four days or more.
