We ran out of Kroger plus cards at my store today and they asked me to go to another Kroger and pick some up. I gladly volunteered because it was something different to do. 2 people told me they would compensate me for it. One person said they would give me a $5 gift card and one person said they would give me $.50 for every mile. How do I even go about the process? Someone told me their was a form to fill out but other than that, I don't know what to do. I would feel intimidated if I were to ask like a store manager.

You need the mileage before you left work and when you returned. The take that to the service desk they will give you a paper to fill out.

When I've had to do runs or out of my homestore training/replacement help for Kroger, I've just mapquested the route from store to store round trip and took the mapquest sheet in that had the round trip mileage and they've did the paper work and gave me a check or cash. I think the mileage allowance was either .45 or .50 a mile.

To be intimidated by a store managment is a joke. You are a worker and should be able to talk to anyone in the company w/o fear of being nervous. Reall, 5 dollars I am sure was more than enough of what gas you spent going. I have a gps that tells you how much gas you are using and cost as well. You would be surprised at how little gas (money wise) you spend driving short distances. Even a few miles is not much. If you were offered more than 5 I would have taken it.

Some people don't have several stores in the same town, it'd be a 55-60 mile round trip for me to go to another store.

If you read the OP he hadn't been offered $5 yet, it was just what he heard he would get.

don't be intimidated by talking to a store manager because they'd be the one to sign off on the mileage
