You would need to call the stores around the area you plan to move to and see if they have an open full time position. explain to them that you will be moving to the area in a few weeks and was wondering if they would allow you to transfer. They have to accept and your store manager has to accept as well.

You need to make plans with the store ahead of time. Each store has a designated number of fulltime positions available for each store based on a computer model using sales.
At our store, we have 2 to 3 fulltime cashiers and the rest are part time. They have been at kroger for many many years. We currently have 2 too many fulltime people in our store as a whole. When they retire or transfer, they will only be replaced by part time employees.
I am a part time employee. The only way I can transfer is if I sign a fulltime bid or quit kroger and reapply to another store. If I take the second option, I will lose senority and my higher payrate because the newer contract limits pay to around $3 less than what I make now.
The office might work differently. Your manager might be able to pull some strings if you have a good rapor with them.
