Turn people into raging *******s? Every Friday it seems everyone just bitches and moans about every little thing. Makes me just want to not come back from break.

Customers or Employees?

Yesterday is most peoples payday.   People are happy they have cash but realize it will run low real quick.

I just watched a customer yell at a professional worker in the building.  The Kroger employee handled the situation well and difused the customers temper tantrum.

Other customers, friends, family, etc. talking about how awesome it is that it's a Friday, and looking forward to the weekend. Meanwhile you're stuck working both days. Makes people just a little bit grumpy.

Fridays don't bother me.  It's Sundays where the true douchebaggery rears its ugly head.

I think Sundays are the worst.  It seems like they come in with a holier than thou attitude after coming from church.

Fridays overnight are a special hell.  It brings out the crazy, the stoned, the a-h*les.  Since i'm FT I'm told I must be available for that shift.  That seems like BS since there are PT people who are available and when I was PT I was just scheduled, no one ever asked me.  furious

I know there are FT people who don't work certain days because they're unavailable that day every week.  How can they threaten my FT status for wanting to be unavailable for one shift?

Ask them to show you where it says in the contract that full time people can't have restrictions.

My workplace is ok for the most part. The only time ill snarl back at someone if they are stupid enough to start something is if I'm off the clock and out of uniform. (That way I kna they can't do crap.)

There's a paper up by the timeclock in my store that was put up a few days ago that says that status 3's can't be restricted and if they have restrictions, they can lose that status. Not sure if that's union policy...

We had an email go out to all of our email accounts saying that all FT people must have open availability. This was a couple months ago it went out, came from corporate. I'm not union, so pretty sure it's a company policy, not a union policy.
