When does your vacation week reset?

I am in distirct G. Recently I reached my hire day. I thought that my week would reset on that day however I was told recently that I have to wait till the First of the year.

What confuses me is that eschedle allows me t set up a vacation week and even set up personal days. Anyone know?

I always heard your get your vacation week after your anniversary.

For example I was hired in Oct. 2011 so that means that next October, I will be eligible for my 2nd week of vacation.

I was OCT 5th and nothing it showing up on my HR page. The "Time remaining" is empty.

But eSchedule allows me to request stuff.

This means nothing. Eschedule has absolutely no knowledge of your accruals, so it will offer the same ability to request off for things to a new hire that it would offer to a 45 yr employee.

Let's say you only get one week of vacation per year per your contract.  That vacation can be taken from Jan 1st until Dec 15th or so.  You need to wait until Jan 1st to take the next years vacation.

If you hit an anniversary date during the year that gives you another week of vacation, then you get that week after your hire date during the same year.  I think for us, we get another weeks vacation after our 3rd anniversary.  2 weeks per year.

I would love that if I only get one till 4 years that I could use it before it resets and not get it next year.

I got special permission to get off Thanksgiving week for family time and I would be willing to give it up and my person days up for that one week.

You mean to tell me. You work for Kroger and got off Thanksgiving week. How? Do you put your pants on any different than anyone else? No one should get the whole week off unless a death in the family or severe family sickness.

Wow, that's all it took?  I'm at the wrong store.  I have never called out in my history with the company and never been late, I've always come in to cover a open shift whether I was part time or full time.  I do not complain to anyone that matters.

I get no consideration, just used and abused.

Might also be that I've been here 3 years and helped open a store. Also am being considered for assistant manager.
