Boy, you gotta love e-schedule...Sure, you can look up your schedule online. But then, you call up the store or check out the posted wall schedule, and guess what? Someone either a) called in, b) did not show, c) got suspended, or d) just totally quit, so NOW that schedule online means absolutely NOTHING because your schedule has been changed half a million ways from Sunday...So you go back and check online just out of curiosity, and YEP...not a thing changed from before, so I guess...the wall schedule rules, so why even waste your time looking online? And this isn't the first time the online and posted schedules were out-of-sync with each other...

lol, That's because all the old farts making the schedules don't know how to make corrections and repost it to the greatpeople.me site. Or, that feature hasn't been added by the programmer yet. We are on our second week of Eschedule. ha! There is more ink pen ink on the schedule than the original copier print ink...
The schedule will only be as good as the store manager over seeing it. Edits and corrections are supposed to be done before it gets sent out live imo.
yeah it really means nothing but once posted and visible your schedule shouldn't be changed because of a call out or quit without you knowing it. sure the wall schedule is the master but they can't just randomly do stuff without you knowing.
I know they have the ability to edit the schedule on eschedule, I saw it happen one time. The schedule was posted on paper early on Thursday but then on Friday, it was different on eschedule and the new paper copy. Most department heads probably just don't know how.
I look at the eschedule Friday at 1:00 to see how many hours I have. Then I go to the store and get the paper schedule so I can claim hours if needed. Then I have to be back at the store on Saturday before noon to see if anyone claimed my hours in case I need to claim some more hours etc. Last week I got my schedule at 8:30 pm on Saturday. The week before it took me 7 hours just to get management to change my schedule.
I think I'm going to just work whatever hours they give me and not worry about it. It's too much trouble to make them give me hours.
I'm the original OP. Like I said, is THIS supposed to be better? It still means nothing, as that wall schedule has so many pencil scribbles on it right now, it's not even funny...And nobody even knows what next week's gonna look like...The dept. managers are frustrated...Oh, well...I'm working what is posted on the wall, and that's it! The bad thing is...we had some young guys not show up, because they didn't think they were scheduled that day...and yep, their schedule was changed so they were supposed to be working that day...So I'm telling them...Check the wall first, forget online! It's too unreliable!
