Atleast you're getting that. My whole front end now have around 10+ hours. I usually get around 30 hours now I have 12 hours. Every week my schedule is looking more pathetic. And as far as we know they haven't hired anyone just poor scheduling. Everyday they have to call someone in because we are short.
Though, in a related note, they recently had a job fair here at my store last Friday. As far as I know, we had at least two new hires as courtesy clerks.
And yet they tell us we don't have hours to give out. >.>
Ok it doesnt seem that most people here understand how the union works.... if you are not Ggetting enough hours u can bump i.e. take lower senior members hours up to 40hrs per week.... it is not stealing hours as some claim... it is taking back what is rightfully yours

The issue doesn't have anything to do with money-whoring bum unions. It's the store claiming that corporate/division/district/area don't give them "enough" hours that even the mid-level "union" workers suffer cuts as well.
What's there to "bump" or "take" from the lower union/non-union peons when they themselves don't even have much, if any, hours at all? I've seen schedules in different stores where there'd be rows of "off" days.
