I get my second week vacation after four years. I am at kroger 4 years thursday. I put in for my vacation next week. I will get it with pay. Correct? I just wanted to make sure i didnt have to wait til the first of the year.
I don't know, but my four year anniversary is next week, so I'm gonna be watching for the answer. If I don't have to wait until the first of the year for it, I want it. LOL
Yes, you should be able to take the 2nd week vacation this year after your anniversary date. Better hurry.
I am curious what people who are hired after Dec 12th do to get their 2nd week vacation?
They take it right after the first of the year - at least in our division, you have either two or 4 weeks of the next year to use any untaken vacation or personal days before you lose them. I REALLY miss being able to just request the pay for them without having to take them . . .
It should come after your anniversary date. I still have 38 hours to use between the rest of my PH time and vacation time. Then the beginning of the year rolls around and I'm back at 40 hours PH time and 80 hours vacation.

Well the will not get to take it before the end of the year. All those old timers who get 8 weeks suckup all the holiday vacation time. You know the ones who voted years ago to screw you out of time off they get like (birthday off). They did not care what the union or kroger took from you just as long as they keep what they have. There should be enough new timers now the if you wanted to could make all the give up their bennys and get some bennys for yourselfs.

Just remember if you tell people like anonymouscutter (a full-timer union supporter) this, they'll blame you and not themselves. Real hypocrites that way.
