can anymore tell me why ufcw unions will not help anybody get their backpay like it used to be? I just had a grievance meeting with Kroger and I wanted my backpay and the union would not help me get it. I know my union has changed a lot in the last few years and you cannot really trust them like before but when exactly did Kroger take over the union. I am totally convinced that the union is a company union now not a workers union and this is coming from a long time Kroger employee who always tried to support the union. we need new people in the union. the other people has been in there to long.
If you want backpay, you have to bring it up to the union within a week of the discrepancy to first HR, then the union. If you don't do that, you're telling em' both is everything okay.
