How exactly does overtime work on major holidays like Thanksgiving? In my district, you get paid time and a half for working holidays, and overtime is also paid time and a half. I was told today that I'll be getting overtime on Thanksgiving since my store is short over 20 people, not counting all the people who are sick or on maternal/medical leave, so I'm curious.
BE CAREFUL. Contracts list SPECIFIC holidays which you get special kinds of pay. In my contract, you gotta work like 4 years before you get anything extra.
