My boss went on vacation making me acting lead while he was gone. I get my paycheck today from the week he was gone, I got shorted on my 40 hours, and I got only my base rate of pay. Anyone know the policies on this? I plan to talk to one of the managers about it tomorrow to see what the deal is, even if its only to get my lost time.
Depends on your contract. Here in Mi, you have to do the order for 3 days(?) out of the week. You have to request "relief pay" in the time clock correction book. Not sure what the rules are at your location but there is a way to fix it if you qualify. Ask your manager or the person that does payroll.
For me, it is easier to write down the hours I worked(including breaks and lunches) and then let the payroll person figure out where the error is.
I had a relief pay correction and the next paycheck was a clusterf**k. They subtracted so much and then readded so much to different categories. I ended up with more cash but the grand total was questionable. It was close enough so I took the money and ran....And will stop making punch errors.
