So tired of eSchedule...

So I'm trying to setup my availability and every time I hit "Submit" it says "Error: Sequence contains no elements" What. The. Hell.

When I encounter an error, simply logging out then logging back in always works. It's still annoying as heck though.

I'd appreciate e-schedule more if it included the schedules of the entire store, or at least others in your classification. Without that feature, eSchedule, imho, is completely and utterly useless. Well, unless you wanna make chances and trust it.

I agree. Why can't you see the whole schedule for your department on there? On the paper schedule you can see who you work with that day. They should be able to do it just as easily on the eschedule.

The only reason you are able to see other employees' schedules on the paper schedule is that it would be ridiculously difficult to post a paper schedule in a way that you would only see your schedule. They specifically don't want you seeing other employees' schedules because the less you know, they fewer changes they have to deal with.

This isn't true. The real reason is because the contract says so.

You are right, however, in saying they don't want you to know. The e-schedule is a way for Kroger to try and sidestep the rule.

and the contract requires it because then you can see if someone less senior than you got hours that should've been yours under seniority and if you should roll.

The contract says all employees' schedules must be posted, but it doesn't specify that other employees be able to see each others' schedules. Because of this, I can guarantee you the only reason they post the schedules all together is that it would be ridiculously inconvenient to post every schedule separately and control access to that info for dozens or hundreds of employees per store on a weekly basis.

If you're in one of the other departments besides front end, it's also nice to know who's going to be working that day so you know how to plan the day.
