can anyone from management hear the phone conversations? Like is there anything about quality control like what some companies have?
This guy called tonight and asked a few um... awkward questions. First, he said he was doing this for a bachelor party. He asked if we do adult themed cakes. I told him no, he asked me if there was anywhere who did, I told him I wasn't sure but this local lady might do it. This is when it got weird. He's like, do you think it'd be alright if i got a regular cake and went to an adult store and bought a toy to put on it. I'm like yeah sure if that's what you want to do.
Then he goes on to say, i don't know why many women are afraid to talk about this. i'm glad i talked to you and not some grandma. i laughed, and said, yeah if you had called in the morning you might have freaked some people out. But then he's like, while i'm talking about this, how many women do you think have "toys" and don't admit it? I was so flabbergasted by this i answered with my honest opinion - 50%. as soon as i said this i realized i probably shouldn't be talking about this stuff, and i told him "i hope you find what you're looking for" and i think he got the hint and said bye and hung up.
But anyway, it was the weirdest damn thing i've ever dealt with in 2 years of working there. But they wouldn't find out that i had a guy talking about sex toys on the phone would they? LOL
Wait did you really?
Was the guy in North Carolina? I thought it was weird he was calling from out of state. Oh god if this was some prank thing now i'm really creeped out.
I wouldn't worry about getting into kroger trouble yet. Your conversation was clean enough. I don't think kroger would be too upset. Try to stay in control of conversation next time so you don't get paranoid.
I would worry about being phone pranked by ernest T bass and played on you tube or a radio station. There are several guys that do pranks like this.
They need a release from you to record and play on a radio station I believe. Check your states eaves dropping laws.
