Just curious to why there is no type if security working in store after 11pm when the self checkout cashier is there by their self. I work that shift some and i dont like being there alone like that. To many things could happen and its just not safe.There are some who come in there and look around and leave or ask if you are the only one working. Also if an over ride is needed that late at nite there is no management there to help with that and i mean you dont want to say theres nothing you can do because no management is working. You also get alot of them at once and you cant watch everything because they want ciggeretts or they need help. I will honestly say i get scared sometimes , but have no choice but to work because i need my job.
if there's no security working in store overnight but there is early in the day that sounds weird.
we're 24 hours and have no security. when i've been overnight cashier there have been times there was me and one other or just me in the store. there should be someone overnight like the grocery manager with an override. that's in best practices. also there has to be someone with a permit to sell on premises or we're not supposed to be selling alcohol.
in my store I only have concerns on Fri and Sat night when we get the most crazies, thieves, pranksters, stoners, drunks and domestic disputes. the self checkout robots get cranky those nights too.
