The bomb threats at some of the Cincy stores
Permalink

Anyone else work at any of the stores that received bomb threats on Friday night? I work in Eastgate and we didn't even evacuate like the other stores did. No bomb is going to risk us getting our Christmas dollars from customers.

There were four stores in Cincinnati that got the threats. I know Hyde Park was one of them along with us in Eastgate. I forget the other two stores.

Not sure what they demanded from the other stores, but they wanted money loaded to cards from our store.

I would call the local nosey snooping news reporter and tell him about your store not evacuating. They love to stir up things doing stories on stuff like that to make them look good on TV. Just think of all the employees that didnt know about it and customers that were in there if it was real.  Thats alot of mad people when they hear about it! Wonder if there is a law that you have to evacuate a business no matter what if a bomb threat happens.

The funny part about it is the news stories I read said our store evacuated (who the heck told them that I don't know) I work there and I never left the store until my shift was over and then I found out what had happened. Thanks for being concerned with all of our lives, Kroger.

It's not the same thing, bu awhile back we had a tornado scare at my store. Three of them had been spotted just a few miles away. A number of us made rounds through the store, gathering people to the back for their safety; some of them went with us, but most of them just looked at us like we were a major ass pain.....and continued shopping. After a few times of that I thought "FK 'em", and joined the others in the back.

It was those Green Dot cards they wanted loaded. Nothing like that in my store, but we're 1.5 hours away from Cincy. There was another store that may have had a fake "reset" done on their Green Dot cards. There has been a world of trouble with those cards, and not just from Kroger, I haven't heard anything good about those things.

green dot is a pain.  nothing fails to activate as commonly as they do.  we get defective batches all the time.  every time i see them back on the shelf i think here we go again.
