I had a no call no show because I have been under a lot of stress lately because my mother is in the hospital and I was getting calls from my sister updating what's happening to her Friday night and worrying me and I forgot to double check the schedule time I was to come in for Saturday that night...
Which I thought it was 4pm which it was 10am but I was wrong and I was going call out that day anyways but I still went in and found out I was a no call no show , Anyways I went to see her that morning and to take care of anything we need to do for her. After I found out I was a no call no show I had her doctor write me a excuse for not being there My manager CA'ed me for this even with a doctors note I would like to know what I can do about this issue.. This has caused me more emotional distress then I need right now in my life dealing with the family issues and my manager CA'ing me for valid reason why I was a no call no show.
I have always thought a Doctors note can legally cover you for your employer trying take action against you. So how is this even legal for him to do this?
Wait, is your manager a male, female, or both? Your post seems to indicate your manager is both. Maybe they're giving you issues due to a gender identity crisis?
Ok, in all serious though, its your responsibility to know your schedule. We even got good ol' eschedule now to help us out. If worse comes to worse, you could always request a whole lot of time-off. Have you considered quitting?
Sorry I'm just stressed out and quitting is not a option wish it was,,need the money and not many jobs where I live. Sorry about the post didn't proof read it.
That night bad stuff was going down with my mother because she is in ICU and my mind is not there. But I was not thinking of the eschedule which I have been drained for past couple days of dealing with this. But my big issue is that I have a legal Doctors note from my mother doctor excusing me from work which my manager did not even take into consideration at all its made me to almost go to the point of hiring a attorney to see what legal actions I can take. But I did make a effort to show a valid reason why I wasn't there.
It's understandable for you to be upset. Sorry about your mom being in ICU. Hope all pans out for the best. As for your manager, he seems like a pretty heartless bastard. Your mother TAKES PRIORITY over your job. And having a doctor write a note SHOULD be MORE than enough!!!
