They're supposed to be opening the new deli and bakery section in less than a week.  We've been told they need to hire at least 15 more people in order to run the place smoothly.  How many have they hired so far? Zero, and they said it would be four weeks before they do anything about it.

You didn't have a deli or bakery before?

Or did you have a big remodel?

Either way some planning ahead would be great. lol

Solution: don't open said dept until management is smart enough to hire people. In other words: dept stays closed for now.

Of course we had a deli and bakery section before.  That's why I said, "New."  We're in the middle of a huge remodel and expansion.  Another bad thing is almost every department is being located somewhere else.  So you have to close off one section at a time and move the stuff in that department to a temporary location.  I think the store is too damn big.  The back dock alone is big enough to hold a small store.  It literally takes me six minutes to walk from  one side of the store to the other side and back again.  And that's at a brisk pace too.

I wish the Kroger stores in my town would re model; they haven't been touched in thirty years. The main problem is the aisles haven't been widened to adapt to modern customer numbers, which have EXPLODED over the years.

My store remodeled and NOW people complain about the width of the aisles, so remodeling doesn't always help.

Did they make them narrower?  I can't imagine people complaining about the aisles being too wide.  What I want to know is how come if there's only two people in an aisle, they always manage to park their bascarts directly opposite each other so no one else can get through.

As far as I can tell, they look the same size as they were before, but some people think they're narrower at least.
