written up for leaving early due to snow

I asked my store manager if I could leave early due to the snow.   I do not have a 4 wheel drive vehicle.   She said I was "unbelievable" and implied she would write me up on my next shift.  Can she do that?

If she gave you permission to leave, refuse to sign the write up. NOTE: be prepared to be treated like "crap" for not signing

If she did not grant you permission, then the write up is waiting your next shift. And yes she can do that.

Ha ha It snowed here in Georgia. I live 20 miles from the store. I am scheduled to go in at 3 pm. Unless they call me I plan on going in and I have several bridges to cross. I know someone who lives further than me and they went in. You must just be lazy unbelievable.

If the store manager is going to be that way to you then in the future if you think its going to snow to the point to where you can't get home just call in and when they throw a hissy fit just tell them last time I came in I asked if I could go home early and you threatened to write me up. They should be grateful for someone showing up with the snow.

Where do you live? Are you in a place that gets dumped on or did you live in a place where you get a dusting of snow and everyone freaks out? Just curious lol

I live in Atlanta.

I talked with my manager today.  She apologized.   She said she was having a rough day that day.  She left 30 minutes after I did (that is when she was supposed to, she didnt leave early), and got into an accident on the way home.  Luckily she was ok.
