I've been winging my way through Natural Foods recently. Haven't been formally trained but I'm getting it. Was wondering if someone could give me the rundown on how to delete distributions. It would be much appreciated.
I did Natural Foods for a few months. (w/ limited training also) When I did it, I had to put on survey's. On the sheet it would tell how many cases you were getting. From there you could add or delete the amount. My store manager had to email it for me because I didn't have an "Kroger" email account set up.
Best thing to do - merchandise, merchandise, merchandise! Get it out of the back! Get it on an end, a wing, an aisle stack - whatever you have to do. They're going to distribute to you, it's up to you as a department head (yes, nutrition leads are department heads) to figure out how to properly merchandise what is sent to you. Obviously they don't know what it's like to work in a store, which is why power bar distros keep being sent. We just have to do our best.
OP<<Thanks for the replies. Trust me, I get out what I can but I get distributions as if I have 8 endcaps instead of 3. My Pro/Head is really anal about the green sheets. ELMS only allows for 2-6 hours in Natural Foods some days and no one was scheduled on my days off this week. I'm at the end of my third week as the Lead. My Pro/Head and I are not the best of friends and every once in a while he's helpful, other times he's an ass who I suspect "unintentionally" gives me wrong information. I've received most of my help from Drug/GM whom I worked under for 11 years. I got an entire skid of 13 oz. Kettle Chips for a wing that holds 4 bags.
I was at a day long meeting with some other leads last week and overheard a debate on deleting distributions. I didn't want to look like an idiot so I was going to catch one alone and ask but never got the chance. I understood something about going into OMS. One guy said he has the ability to delete right on the screen. Another girl said she doesn't have the delete button. I've been going in early before anyone else is in to teach myself what I can about Citrix and ISP. I found my way into OMS but don't see the delete button the guy had mentioned. A couple other leads at the table seemed to have the delete button as well. I was just wondering if there was something I was missing.
Any other advice anyone has about about CAO, ISP, Citrix or anything you think might be relevant would be really helpful.
