490 in the southwest division has the worst manager ever! She yells, cusses and humiliates her employees!!! She only got the manager position because she is buddy buddy with the district manager. Numerous, hard working, employees have quit because of her. the company needs to wise up and get ride of the actual problem her!
Ha Ha, I remember reading the results of our associate surveys; One question went something like do people get promoted based on performed and a lot of associates said no, and then there was a sub question what do they base promotions on, The majority of responses were they know somebody at the top.
Where I work, it used to be that having drive, skill, and working hard were all you needed to get promoted. You used to be able to take initiative and seek out the right people up top to go as far as you wanted. Now? Absolutely not. It's all based on a$$ kissing. Now, the higher ups come to you------whether in fact you even want the advancement or not. We have a dept. manager who was promoted just this way; she at first declined the offer, but then had her then current job threatened.
Crap like this is part of why we're seeing almost nothing but incompetent fools getting the top jobs.
