Me and 8 other employees were assembling patio furniture in our store. The 3 managers overseeing it informed us if we needed a tool or two to take it off the shelf, which I never knew was possible. Our Drug and GM manager informed me to take a pair of pliers off the shelf to help with removing caps and such to make the job easier. I left before the rest of the team because I had my 8 hours for the day and they did not want overtime because it was slow. Thing is, I pulled the item off the shelf, I reminded them and the manager that it has to go back, but I don't know if it made it back. Could something happen to me?
Our managers stock too, I am quite surprised I thought they'd be bashing away on their keyboards all day upstairs.
You can file a grievance over that. just sayin'.
Who would be dumb enough to file a grievance on a manager doing real work? would you rather them be staring at some q vision monitor?
He actually made a perfectly valid point.
Many contacts limit what work can be done by mgmt to keep Kroger from just having salaried mgrs do work that should have been allotted hours for hourly associates to do instead.
