Lack of communication
Permalink

I called into work sick Friday morning at 8 for my 10 a.m. shift, like were supposed to.  Spoke to a manager (the store manager, not a co-manager or assistant)like were supposed.  He tells me to bring my excuse if I go to the doctor.  Thought all was well.

So at 10:30 I get a call from the store asking if I'm coming to work.  The people in my dept. asked the front end if I called in and they said no.  So the front office called me while I was on my way to the doctor.  Seriously no communication at all!

You don't have to have an excuse unless you're out for 3 days or its one of the 5 major illnesses.

It happens and that's why the first thing I do is ask management if they know of any call outs that may not have been written down or communicated.
