We hired a new girl in our meat dept. a few weeks back. She claims to have experience as she is in her 40's and her husband was apparently a meat cutter for 20 something years. She acts as though she knows everything but yet somehow needs instruction at every turn only to have an attitude saying something like"I know what I'm doing." It irritates me. On top of that she questions why I get more hours than her as if she has never heard of seniority before. And complains if she is scheduled on a weekend. Really? This is retail. You don't get weekends off in retail. Especially in a department as busy as Meat/Seafood. I haven't had a Saturday or Sunday off in a year, and she bitches after 2 weeks. Just a venting post lol

I've seen this happened where someone will give a big song and dance about how they have meat experience to whoever is hiring them and they don't know a round from round ground.
Let her mess up. When management confronts her say nothing. If she wants to be an ass, let her. Just don't let her push you around and tell you how to do YOUR job. Like it was said before, she won't last long. Not with that attitude.
We had one new hire who HATED early lunches (about 3 to 3 1/2 hours) in his shift. Said it was "to early" and that it was still "breakfast." Well guess what new guy? No one gives a flying crap if you like early lunches or not. No one cares if it's "too early" or not. Point is... You got em' so shut the hell up and freakin' deal with it! He thought he was entitled like your new girl... We put him in his place.
