That's the lamest write up I've ever heard (read)... what is 'too fast' and 'too slow' in Krogerese? They seem to always want everyone moving as quickly as possible.

I got told when I was in the dairy dept. that I get the product off the buggy fast enough.  And I get to the products spot fast enough, but I didn't get the product out of the box to the shelf fast enough.

 lol.

Yeah, we have a new kid that is going to be working with us on nights.  Co-manager said he did great during the day and was fast.  Did 3 pallets in 2 hours!  This is the same co-manager that always ask why we didn't get everything done.  Well, one person called in, the store takes time to condition(co mgr ignored that time when pointing out the DDP report), I am not the grocery manager(so don't ask me) and I wasn't even scheduled to work tonight.

He did a pallet of soap with bulk paper on top and probably meat department trays.  30 minutes.  Probably a pallet with diapers.  He should not have touched that one..  A pallet of paper aisle.  30 minutes tops.

I go to the paper aisle to condition and it looks like a 6 year old ran it.  95% of bulk packages were either upside down or backwards.  Same with 4 packs of toilet paper.  I spent about 10 minutes correcting everything.

Then, I go to condition the soap aisle:  sheesh!  How hard is it to run 14 cases?  Fabric softener sheets crammed on shelf backwards.  Not just one but all of them.  Small tide HE stuck where the large size goes and small size remains a hole.

Best part is, he might be getting experience pay because our managers are desperate for people and he worked for another retailer.  I say send him back before he puts our store out of business!!

Ok, I will give him a chance.  I hope he wants to learn the right way.  I will try to teach him for 2 weeks and after that he is on his own.  But like most 20 year olds, they already know everything and probably will ignore me after I walk away.

I want to enjoy this summer.  I hope he lasts!!  I will have to be on my best behavior tho.

I think I will train him on the baler the first day.  The other two part timers are wimps.  One is not mechanical and the other is just scared of his own shadow.
