this is the 1st time i've seen union arrears on my pay stub. i know 10.44 gets taken out of my pay check every week for union DUES, but what are union arrears?
It's their way of saying, "We want more money. So we're going to make something up as an excuse to take it from you." Actually, they usually do it after you've been on vacation. Your vacation check won't have union dues taken out of it. So they tack it on to the next check. I don't think it's right though. When you're on vacation, you don't need the sevices of the union. So you shouldn't have to pay for them.
ok I get 18.55, each week and 6.45 a week in union dues. really did not make over 130.00 out of a 200.00 check, this week because of taxes and union dues but they say because of the union I get paid 30% more than non union. where and what are the benfits and min wage is 8.25 in this state get paid 7.25 but my friend that started in KY got started at 9.25 we have the same history of work and age.

It's their way of saying "we f*cked up so now we'll take double out if next weeks check. it usually happens when they don't take enough. VERY RARELY will they take too much. Although it has happened. When they take too much usually they'll give it back on your next check. My check is usually spot on so I have no issues with the union
