IS IT GENERAL PRACTICE AT KROGERS THAT WHEN A CO-MANAGER GETS UPSET WITH AN EMPLOYEE THAT HE GETS THE RIGHT TO MAKE THESE EMPLOYEES WORK IN THE FUEL CENTER FOR PUNISHMENT WHEN THEY WERE HIRED TO BE CASHIERS. WHEN HIRED IT WAS NEVERED TOLD TO ANY CASHIER THAT THEY MAY HAVE TO WORK OUT IN THE FUEL CENTER. THEY GET NO TRAINING AND NO BREAKS ARE GIVEN. THE UNION NEEDS TO LOOK INTO THIS IN OHIO.....
Punished? Fuel center is the easiest ****ing position in the whole store. They aren't measured on any metrics! Baggers are measured on friendliness and items per bag, cashiers are measured on speed, and stockers are measured on cases per hour. Fuel center is also not vultured by management.
Fuel center isn't so bad. I worked it a couple times. It's like a reg gas station almost. The customer tells you $5.00 on pimp 5, and you turn on pump 5, and there you go. As for breaks, I give my breaks to myself. Lock up for 10-15 min, take my break and back to my station. I even have a sign saying ' on break. Be back at xxx time'
Why wouldn't you want to work fuel center while being on the cashier payscale? That sounds awesome compared to standing in one place for 8 hours.
Yep, they busted a journeyman on freight crew to bottle return. Bottle return never looked better when he was working it. He didn't even have to check. Management finally realized a month later that the guy liked it because it was so easy compared to freight. lol.
When I was a dairy closer I never got mad if I had to deal with bottles-I get out there make sure it was clean and swept, blah, blah, blah. "Sorry I missed that check call, it was wrecked out there!"
